Tragedy has fallen again on Lake Albert after four refugees fleeing fresh tribal clashes between the Lendu and Bagegere in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. They drowned near Sebigoro Landing Site in Kabwoya Sub County, Hoima district on Sunday.

Kabwoya Sub-county LCV Councilor Vincent Alpha Opio says the boat was carrying five people at the time of the tragedy. However, one of the victims was rescued on time by fishermen.  It's reported that heavy winds forced the boat to capsize.

The deceased, all from Jo landing site in Ituri province Bunia district include a woman and three other men whose identities are yet to be established.

John Stephen Ekoom, the Hoima Resident district Commissioner says that a team from Hoima district security committee has rushed to Sebigoro Landing Site to ascertain the situation. Seven Congolese refugees have so far died on the Lake Albert shores since the fresh tribal clashes between the Lendu and Bagegere erupted a week ago.
